USVI 2023
The United States Virgin Islands are the beautiful neighbors of the BVI and Puerto Rico. Although the USVI is only a short hop from BVI, you will still find a very unique experience. The main island we sail around is St. John, a national park, with various islands scattered in between the passage of St. Thomas. If the weather permits we will sail to the furthest island, St Croix to explore more reefs. St. John is filled with wildlife and history. We will see ancient ruins right off the shoreline, giant coral heads, and sea turtle nesting grounds. The live-aboard culture is also very heavy in USVI with some of the most unique anchorages, home to the pizza boat and floating tacos. Getting to USVI is a breeze coming from the States as an American citizen due to the frequent flights, you won’t want to leave though!
Travel tips
The USVI is only a hop skip and a jump from the US. Many people choose to move there since it is a US territory and has many benefits. You can fly direct to Charlotte Amalie Airport from most major cities or stop over in San Juan for an extra leg of vacation. Entering and exiting USVI no longer requires Covid testing, vaccination card, or even your passport if you are a US citizen!
